Picture this: You’re standing on a waterfront terrace in Ribandar, Goa, with the gentle breeze of the Arabian Sea carrying whispers of salt and adventure. Misu Restaurant & Bar— is just that, a gem nestled by the river that transforms an ordinary day into an unforgettable culinary memory. Let me take you through my complete dining experience at this riverside haven.

The Ambiance: Where Elegance Meets Coastal Charm
Walking into Misu, I was immediately struck by the thoughtfully curated interior design. The restaurant features an open-air waterfront dining setup with brass and woven pendant lights casting warm, dancing shadows across pristine white tablecloths. Cascading green foliage hangs from the pergola roof, creating natural canopies that provide respite from the Goan sun while maintaining the outdoor dining charm. For those searching for romantic waterfront restaurants in Goa or the best riverside dining in Ribandar, this venue absolutely delivers.
The Food: Authentic Goan Flavors with Modern Presentation
I ordered several signature dishes, and each one told a story of Goa’s rich culinary heritage.

Pa’s Coconut Prawns:- arrived as golden-brown crescents, a spiced mixture of tender prawns, coconut, tamarind, and coriander. These traditional Goan seafood appetizers are a must-try for anyone seeking authentic flavors.
Batter Fried Squids (Calamari) :- tender rings of squid fried to golden perfection. The texture was impeccable; the squid remained tender. This is the kind of Goan calamari dish that locals know and love, executed flawlessly.
Raw Mango Chicken kebab:- Tandoor-cooked chicken infused with tangy raw mango, finished with a fresh mango garnish — a twist far from your regular Tandoori chicken !
For the main course, I opted for a Chonak Thali, (Chonak rava fry, Mackereal Fish curry, rice, crab or tisreo (clams), salad, kismoor, pickle, papad, solkadhi, dry veg, sweet) which featured fresh catch prepared in a coconut-based curry with traditional spices. The freshness of the fish was undeniable. This exemplifies why fresh seafood restaurants in Goa like Misu have become increasingly popular among food bloggers and travelers alike.
To accompany these dishes, I sampled their Green Lady Mocktail & Not So Cosmo Mocktail beverage. The drinks were refreshingly crafted, with quality ingredients and balanced flavors—perfect for the tropical climate and complementary to the bold seafood dishes.
Service and Value for Money
The staff did their job. They gave basic help with the menu and managed special requests without much effort. For the kind of food, portions, and location, the prices still felt okay for a waterfront place in Goa.
Why Misu Stands Out for Goa Food Enthusiasts
Whether you’re a food blogger exploring Goan cuisine, a travel blogger documenting the best restaurants in North Goa, or simply someone craving authentic Goan seafood dishes, Misu Restaurant & Bar delivers on all fronts. The restaurant successfully bridges traditional Goan culinary traditions with contemporary presentation and service standards.
